Welding, cutting, fire work
- A fire permit is mandatory and must be obtained from the Fire Prevention Officer or contact person prior to starting work.
- Obtain information about smoke detectors.
- Close off danger areas.
- Ensure adequate ventilation.
- Remove flammable objects or liquids, otherwise cover.
- Provide suitable extinguishing agents for firefighting.
- Separate welding workplaces by setting up protective screens.
- Secure electrical lines against mechanical damage.
- One fire watch will be determined by the Fire Prevention Officer.
