Welding, cutting, fire work

  • A fire permit is mandatory and must be obtained from the Fire Prevention Officer or contact person prior to starting work.
  • Obtain information about smoke detectors.
  • Close off danger areas.
  • Ensure adequate ventilation.
  • Remove flammable objects or liquids, otherwise cover.
  • Provide suitable extinguishing agents for firefighting.
  • Separate welding workplaces by setting up protective screens.
  • Secure electrical lines against mechanical damage.
  • One fire watch will be determined by the Fire Prevention Officer.
