Personal protective equipment / roof work

Personal protective equipment:

  • When working in production, personal protective equipment must be used this means, among other things, the wearing of safety shoes as well as the use of protective goggles and hearing protection when working on open equipment (e.g. drilling, flexing, etc.) or when instructed to do so by the contact person. The personal protective equipment is to be provided by you, as the external company. The above list shows examples of which PPE must be worn and when.

Note on work clothing:

  • Tight-fitting work clothing must be worn in the production areas; jewelry, rings and the like must be removed. Work clothing must be adapted to the relevant conditions, e.g. flame retardant for welding work.

Work on the roof:

  • Entering roofs is only permitted after prior approval by the GLÖCKLER contact person. If there is a risk of falling at workplaces, employees must be secured in accordance with the applicable regulations (e.g. safety gear, safety nets or safety harnesses).
  • At the back of the building there is an access ladder, it must be used to climb to the roof, this use is mandatory.
  • The information of the accessibility and the bearing capacity of the roof you will receive from your contact person.
  • Take protective measures against slipping and falling as well as against falling building materials and tools to the outside and to the inside.
  • Ensure fire protection measures for flame, flex and welding work! Organize fire watch! Fire extinguishing equipment must be provided.
